HBA Partners Pty Ltd became official during December 2007. Prior to that date Hetherington’s was established in July 2005 following the opening of its office in Nerang on the Gold Coast. Prior to this Hetherington’s traded as Piper & Holmes and was based in Labrador since the mid 1970’s.

Piper & Holmes was established by Noel Holmes and Don Piper in 1975. The business was then sold to John Imbruglia in 1980 who retained ownership until 1998 when it was taken over by Peter Hetherington as resident Partner and Colin Woodward. The partnership was dissolved in June 2005.

Under the leadership of Peter Hetherington the business has grown from humble beginnings of 4 staff, to 13 staff and 1250 clients today. On 1st July 2007 Mark Buhmann was admitted as a partner and in December 2007, became HBA Partners moving from Nerang to its current address in Surfers Paradise.
